GIS Specialist

Do you want to work with an Australian company working in the heart of one of the world's richest mining districts. Working from this exploration site in North Queensland your employment will based on a Fly in Fly out rooster from [Location].
 
As a GIS Geologist / GIS Specialist you will have highly developed GIS skills in the exploration and mining sector. Coupled with advanced skills and knowledge in MapInfo/Discovery and preferably acQuire.
 
Your main responsibilities in this role will include:
·         Creating and updating geological maps, cross sections and plans
·         Working with old data and new data and will need to maintain the existing GIS databases and file structures
·         Reporting of exploration and geological data
 
Your previous background will include:
·         A degree in GIS or Geology/Geophysics. 
·         You should have at least 3 years recent GIS experience in the geology industry
·         Experience in the mining or exploration field
