Their Minerals and Industry business delivers innovative, cost-effective engineering for a wide range of minerals and industry projects. Projects include underground mine development, associated mine industrial areas and infrastructure, and plant site selection studies.
 
We have a strong team of engineers and designers, and this is a great opportunity to secure a key role within the group as the leader of the civil discipline.
 
In the role of Lead Civil engineer, you will assist in building a civil design team within the Minerals and Industry Business.  You will be required to provide technical leadership covering the broad spectrum of civil engineering and design fields required to deliver Minerals and Industry projects.  You will use your strong business acumen and technical expertise to ensure sustainable growth as well as providing mentoring, training and on-going professional development for your team. 
 
Specifically, you will:
·         Lead and develop our capability in the Civil area
·         Be closely involved with the execution and  management of consulting and design projects
·         Assist with preparation of feasibility studies, capital cost estimates and planning schedules
·         Interact with project managers on the progress of design and construction activities
·         Develop and  implement  best practice procedures within the team
·         Be a strong team player
 
The successful candidate will be a qualified Civil Engineer with 10-15 years  experience in the minerals and industry sector (preferably in consulting) together with a solid reputation with clients. RPEQ status or eligibility to obtain RPEQ is preferred.
