Metallurgical Technician

·         Job Type: Contract
·         Location: FIFO [Location] Australia
·         Duration: Short Term Contracts

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Metallurgical Technicians who are highly motivated, with strong experience in Gold to commence IMMEDIATELY in positions FIFO [Location].

Do you have?
·         4-5 years minimum experience in mining
·         Previous experience in gold processing particularly CIL
·         High standard of laboratory practise
·         A strong focus on safety including safe working procedures and practise, and workplace hazard identification
·         The ability to work unsupervised
·         Self motivation and ability to be a team player
·         Good communication skills
·         Computer skills including good knowledge of Excel and Word

You will also be required to be competent in the following;
·         Sample preparation
·         Wet chemistry including titrations
·         Aqua Regia Digest
·         General laboratory duties
·         QA/QC
·         AAS – Varian Spectra 50B
·         Sample Collection
·         Bottle Rolls
·         Leach Testwork
·         Carbon Activities
·         Size analysis
·         Support metallurgical testwork
·         Sampling surveys
·         Maintenance of analytical equipment
·         Maintenance and calibration of instruments including pH, DO, cyanide analyser, AAS
