Senior Metallurgical / Process Engineer

Reporting to the Feasibility Study Manager, you will form a key part of the Feasibility Study team. You will plan, control and coordinate the Metallurgical design and Engineering of processing plant flowsheets. In addition, you will provide technical support through the Metallurgical evaluation of new exploration prospects and emerging minerals prospects (Au, Cu) in South East Asia.
 
Key areas of responsibility will be:
·         Liaising with the lead Engineering contractor to develop suitable flowsheets and process design criteria for future processing facilities
·         Supervising and managing detailed design and drafting activities during the engineering phase of the development of a new Au/Ag Project
·         Developing operating strategies and cost estimates (CapEx and OpEx) for new processing facilities in conjunction with the Engineering contractor
·         Liaising with site operations team to ensure their requirements are incorporated into the design and delivery of new processing facilities
·         Commissioning and reviewing external evaluations and studies of specific Metallurgical issues
·         Reviewing recommendations for the selection and acquisition of new processing equipment
·         Providing technical support to the Corporate Development Team in their management of mergers and acquisition studies of any target company processing operations
·         Providing technical support to the Exploration Team in assessing, developing and managing suitable ore characterisation testwork programmes and determining key Metallurgical parameters for initial economic modeling
·         Maintaining a watching brief of existing and emerging technologies suitable for current and future Metallurgical processing facilities; and
·         Providing independent Metallurgical review and audit support for Corporate Office
 
To be successful in this role you will possess:
·         10+ years experience in process Engineering and operations
·         Experience in developing and managing process design and Engineering of new projects from prefeasibility through to commitment
·         Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering degree or equivalent
·         Exposure to hydrometallurgy, Au and Cu Metallurgy processes
·         Proficient skills in MS Office software (Excel, Access, Word, Project)
