Mine Water Resources Specialist

Fortescue Metals Group has the largest tenement holding in the Pilbara with over 4.5 billion tonnes of Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Resources and 1.1 billion tonnes of JORC Reserves. Cloudbreak, our primary mine located in the Chichester Ranges about 150 kilometres north of Newman, achieved practical completion in July 2008. We are now optimising to 55 mta. This first stage of ore production is already "sold out" to major Chinese steel mills and we have long term relationships with these mills.
 
Fortescue's mine team is made up of a wide range of occupations, from engineers to administrators and operators to geologists. There are more than 1000 people of all ages and cultures living onsite and working on family-friendly rosters designed to help our people achieve a healthy balance between work and recreation. Fortescue insists on developing mining practices that promote the protection of our environment, cultural heritage and the safety of our workers. Mine Water Resources Specialist
·         Strong planning background
·         Tertiary qualification desirable
·         Broad technical knowledge
·         Water infrastructure project planning experience preferable
·         Monitor and ensure parts availability
·         Capability to schedule and follow up work
·         Ability to adapt to changing work environment
·         GIS experience highly regarded
