Statutory Mine Surveyor

·         Mining Giant - Central QLD based
·         Experience mine surveyor with current registration
·         Underground experience preferred
 
This International and well branded Mining organisation is the worlds largest producer of export thermal coal and a significant producer of coking coal. With the extent of the operation, the company needs a statutory mine surveyor to provide and coordinate an effective survey service and support for the mine. The organisation is one of the top most diversified Metals & Mining organisations in the world who continue to grow and create value over the long term, forming mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders.
 
Responsibility:
·         Ensure work practices & systems are consistent with the statutory requirements.
·         Lead and manage the surveying activities within budget and informing other technical team members of surveying activities taken place
·         Regularly reviewing the survey systems, resource needs, the performance of the surveying team and the development of short and long term plans
·         Drive the development of annual survey budgets and reports on performance against production, cost and labour with the survey cost centre
 
Requirements:
·         Degree qualified in a related subject
·         Minimum 5 years experience and must be registered
·         Experience in underground operations, preferably coal
·         Good understanding of HSEC policies and procedures
·         Excellent interpersonal skills verbally & written
·         A passion for the mining industry
