We are seeking a highly motivated Health & Safety Advisor to join our Corporate Health & Safety Team based [Location] . Your primary responsibilities will be to lead, implement and monitor H&S initiatives and programs across a portfolio of sites
 
Specifically, you will use your talents and energy to assist the Health & Safety Manager and Operational Management by:
·         Providing hands on assistance, guidance and support to sites regarding H&S standards, policies and systems
·         Providing technical expertise to ensure an understanding and compliance to applicable H&S legislation
·         Facilitate H&S communication between Corporate and your portfolio of sites
·         Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of H&S strategic plans
·         Undertake regular site audits and inspections
·         Deliver corporate initiatives
·         Act as a mentor for site Quality, Safety and Environment Coordinators
·         Collate and analyse H&S performance data, statistics and information
 
This challenging and exciting role will allow you to utilise your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build, influence and drive a proactive H&S culture at both a corporate and multi-site level. Ideally you will hold a formal qualification in H&S or relevant discipline such as Engineering coupled with a minimum of 5 years H&S experience gained in a mining or heavy industrial environment. Your ability to coach employees and management throughout the business and apply your knowledge of State Acts and Regulations on a practical basis is key to your success.
 
Although based [Location] , frequent travel to regional areas is required and it is essential that you hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
 
The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and professional team in an established and growing mining organisation. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and relocation assistance will be provided if required.
