This top tier client is looking for an HSE Superintendent for a major mine site [Location] . Defying the current trend in the market, this site is ramping up their production and need a senior safety person to focus on their number one priority the safety of their people.
 
As a result of continued success and growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced, professional and committed Health & Safety Superintendent to Lead the HSE team.
 
Reporting to the HSE Manager, your primary responsibilities include:
·         providing leadership to the safety team and contractors
·         support line management with regards to HSE
·         establishing and maintaining an accident-free workplace
·         developing budgets for the department and ensuring compliance
 
Your tertiary qualifications and previous experience in mining will ensure you are suitably qualified for the role. You are a dynamic leader who has strong motivational and negotiation skills and exceptional communication across all levels. It is also desirable that you will have:
·         a thorough working knowledge of open-cut, coal-mining techniques
·         a thorough understanding of safety management systems in coal
·         strong group presentation and facilitation skills
