Senior Materials Sourcing Officer

[Employer] has a vacancy in its Supply Services team based in [Location] for a Senior Materials Sourcing Officer. The team provides the full range of supply services, principally to the open-cut coal mines and port facilities in Central Queensland.
 
The Senior Materials Sourcing Officer will aim to achieve maximum value for [Employer] through the provision of contract management of goods and repairable / rotable spares.
 
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·         Comply with all aspects of [Employer] departmental policies and values including the [Employer] code of conduct.
·         contract management of goods and repairable contracts including, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, stakeholder approval, APEC approval, award, execution and ongoing contract maintenance activities.
·         management of the goods and repairable contract schedule including workload smoothing
·         coordination of goods contract reporting to key stakeholders
·         alignment with the inventory strategy to ensure optimum systems performance and reporting
·         total cost of ownership and security of supply focus.
·         vendor KPI performance management through strategies systems reporting suite.
·         Drive efficiency of processes and maximise effectiveness through common system applications i.e. SAP, Quadrem
·         ongoing communication to stakeholders
 
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications & experience:
·         Meaningful supply experience, preferably in mining or other heavy industry;
·         Strong background in procurement and materials management;
·         Excellent interpersonal skills encompassing teamwork and good communication skills with a strong customer focus;
·         Initiative and self-organisational skills;
·         Competent user of Microsoft, Excel, Word and Power point;
 
It will be highly desirable to have sound SAP skills in the MM module and preferably exposure to the maintenance and accounts payable modules.
 
This is a staff position and a competitive all-inclusive salary will be determined according to qualifications and experience.
