This junior explorer has continued to post outstanding results from two key projects in remote regions of Western Australia. They have recently secured further funding and have planned a significant programme that is due to commence in the very near future. As a result, we require a passionate Exploration Geologist who is willing to consider longer FIFO rosters on an initial contract basis.
 
The position will work as part of a small exploration team and will be focused on the management of a diamond programme in a remote field camp. The site provides most modern amenities but will suit those will a sense of adventure and 'discovery'. Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be responsible for supervising the diamond drilling programme and logging of core. You will manage assays and assist with the geological interp and future drill planning. Some field mapping programmes are scheduled and experience with sampling will be highly beneficial.
 
The role will work on an extended FIFO roster (approx 20:10 days) and an attractive day rate will be offered for the initial contract period. It is expected that a longer-term position, possibly permanent, will be available at the completion of the initial 3 month contract. To secure this role, it is essential that you bring proven experience with the planning & supervision of diamond drilling activities, ideally within a remote setting. Strong mapping & sampling skills covering gold or base metals will also be preferred. Tertiary Qualifications in Geology and the ability to work independently will be other key requirements for this opportunity.
