Principal Structural Engineer (CHPP)

This world leading engineering firm are a key player in the Australian mining industry and are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join their engineering team.
 
Expansion work is now starting for an existing Coal mine [Location] . This is a long-term expansion which has opened up new leases to increase the throughput and yield of the coal production plant, allowing a production increase of approximately 20 %.
 
The coal mine and coal preparation plant produce steaming and coking coal for domestic and export markets.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute on Queenslands first major mine expansion project since the global economic downturn. 
 
To be considered for this position you will have the below skills / Qualifications/ Other:
·         Degree in Structural Engineering
·         10-15years structural engineering experience
·         Prior experience with coal mining & coal handling process plants (CHPP)
·         Ability to manage a structural engineering section and direct structural progress for the project.
·         Knowledge of structures associated with coal processing plants
·         Able to communicate effectively with  other engineering disciplines and managers on the project.
