This organisation is a major international service provider to the mining and minerals processing industry with a strong presence in Queensland and a genuine commitment to their people. They deliver a wide range of Greenfield and Brownfield services including project management, engineering, planning, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance. Operating from more than 26 countries they currently employ more than 9500 people worldwide. This values-driven organisation has enjoyed consistent growth and correspondingly there is currently an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Discipline Function Leader [Location].
 
This leadership role will see you have ultimate responsibility for over 20 of Brisbane's foremost engineers with a skill mix from junior to an advanced level. In addition to day to day technical engineering tasks on assigned projects, you will have accountability for the performance of the group measurable to a budget. Management of the team's operational ability through strong people leadership is a crucial function of the role. It will be imperative that you maintain a balanced skill mix in the group through strong mentoring and training activities.
 
Your tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering at a degree level or better is a given, as is your extensive experience working within the mining and minerals processing industry. Ideally you will come from either a Consulting or EPCM background, demonstrate extensive management experience and unparalleled leadership qualities combined with superior technical capabilities. You will have the desire to lead this team to be the very best in the industry.
