Preventative Maintenance Electrical Coordinator

[Mine] is one of nine Coal Mines and a port operated by [Employer] in Central Queensland. [Mine] is one of the largest open-cut coal operations in the world, producing in excess of 12 million tonnes per annum of hard coking coal. Employees of [Mine] mine reside in [Location] , a modern well-serviced town with a population of over 10,000, located [Location].
 
We currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Preventative Maintenance Electrical Coordinator in the Mine Maintenance Department, reporting to the Superintendent – Field Maintenance. The primary aim of this role, in conjunction with the PM Mechanical Coordinator, is to provide leadership, direction and support to the team of employees for whom this position is responsible; with the goal of coaching/empowering that team to deliver HSEC & Operational excellence.
 
The successful applicant will require:
·         Trade certificate
·         Excellent safety record and the ongoing ability to work safely within our safety systems and standards
·         Experience in maintenance of BE/Marion Draglines (GE control systems) and P&H Rope Shovels
·         Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
·         Ability to lead a multi skilled team.
 
It is essential for the successful applicant to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:
·         Leadership and people management
·         Previous supervisory experience
·         Understand schedules and manage team performance to them
·         S1,2 and 3
·         Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and First Priority
·         A high level of verbal and written communication skills
·         Understanding HSEC principles and requirements
·         Ability to understand Workplace Agreements and manage a team within them
 
It is desirable that the incumbent is able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:
·         Strong skill set relevant to the position (sound knowledge of HV and LV distribution and motor control, strong PLC skills and familiarity with DC rotating equipment and control systems maintenance)
·         Several years experience in the open cut coal mining industry
·         Knowledge of [Employer] operations
·         Frontline Management Certificate IV
·         Financial Management experience
·         Presentation and facilitation skills
 
This role within [Employer] attracts a competitive salary package including housing. The successful applicant will be required to work a 5 day roster
