Maintenance / Fitter

Novacoat WA Pty provides surface treatment services to the mining, resource and construction industries and is looking for an experienced Maintenance/Fitter to join their busy workshop.
 
Primary Objective
Maintain all Novacoat WA equipment in accordance with legislative and regularity requirements, standards and codes of practice. Carry out periodic maintenance as set out in the maintenance schedule. Operate in accordance with Novacoat’s SEMS, QMS and in accordance with the “duty of care’ as defined in the Act.
 
Responsibilities and Deliverables
·         Tag out any equipment that is to be maintained or is faulty.
·         Follow the maintenance schedule check list for all scheduled maintenance tasks.
·         Defect equipment to be reported to Workshop Manager
·         Replace or repair defect equipment
·         Fill out and file the appropriate equipment maintenance form.
·         Check off the completed maintenance tasks in the Task Manager
·         Ensure their own safety and health.
·         Ensure that they do not adversely affect the safety or health of their work mates or any other person in the workplace through any act or omission
·         Comply with all safety directions and instructions. Cease work where deemed to be dangerous.
·         Wear and look after personal protective equipment issued, where applicable, for his/her use.
·         Not misuse or damage any equipment provided for safety and health purposes.
·         Report immediately any situation which he/she believes is or could be a hazard.
 
Selection Criteria & Competencies Essential
·         5 years experience in a maintenance or related industry
·         Mechanical aptitude
·         Ability to communicate in English, both reading and writing.
 
Desirable
·         Mechanical or related trade
