Exploration Geologist

We have an exceptional opportunity to join a greenfield project with this dynamic & results-driven company. The group has a number of regional prospects and drilling is due to commence within the next 2 – 4 weeks. As a result, they require an experienced Exploration Geologist to assist with this programme on an initial contract basis.
 
The position will work closely with the Senior Exploration Geologist and will involve the supervision of a small field team focused on some early-stage drilling at a regional target. The duties will vary throughout the duration of this contract, however, the primary focus will be: 
·         Supervision of RC drilling
·         Logging of RC chips
·         Assay Validation & interpretation of cross sections
 
This project will involve working on a 14:7 FIFO roster from Perth and will require previous experience within an exploration based position. The ability to communicate effectively with the drilling contractor and various field and geology staff will be essential and a proven commitment to safety is expected. Tertiary Qualifications (Geology), RC logging, some geological interp and rig supervision experience is essential.
 
The initial contract will be offered for a 3 month period, however, it is hoped that further extensions and permanent positions will be available for those meeting the demands of this regional project. A highly competitive day rate and the chance to work with an experienced and very ‘down-to-earth’ exploration team is being offered.
 
The project is expected to start within the next 2 – 4 weeks and interviews will be conducted [Location] .
