Position Synopsis
The Mining Department at Mt. Whaleback now seek motivated and enthusiastic individuals to operate heavy earthmoving equipment including haul truck operators. You will be expected to work in a safe and efficient manner as a productive member of a shift operating team, where your focus will be on the operation of heavy earthmoving equipment. This role being offered on a 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off roster.
 
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and in compliance with the safety systems and [Employer] Ore Environmental Management System, your key duties will include; operation of heavy earthmoving equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures, participating in all areas of safety, facilitating shift changeovers and undertaking training and assessment, as and when required in order to gain new skills.
 
Skills and Experience
Previous experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment, including haul trucks, ancillary equipment and shovels in a mining or civil environment is essential. HR licences are essential, together with excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to teamwork.

Location
This is a residential role based in Newman, a town of approximately eight thousand people. It has excellent sporting facilities that cater for a wide range of interests and age groups, a well-appointed shopping centre, and education services to senior level.
