Mine Surveyor
Where Mining Finds Its People

This job has expired. Click here to see new and active jobs like this one.

Jobs on CareerMine expire for many reasons. Either the employer has requested the advanced expiration of the job (as the vacancy has been filled or cancelled), or the job ad has expired after its normal running-time of 60 days within the CareerMine system. While there is the possibility that the vacancy may still be active, it is most likely that it has been filled or cancelled; otherwise it would be on CareerMine still.

It is strongly advised that you do not contact the company or advertising agency regarding this, or any other expired role, for the purposes of gaining employment with that company. Companies often impose strict penalties on job seekers who go outside of the established channels, to contact the employer regarding vacancies. (Employers have also made it clear in the past, that sourcing expired jobs and contacting them regarding their status, is one of these non-established routes.)

Mine Surveyor

·         Fantastic surface operation
·         8:6 FIFO roster
·         Grade 2 preferred
·         Long-term career potential

We are working with this financially stable mining company on a number of roles across their surface operations. The site management team has recently been given approval to increase production capacity and require various technical staff to assist with this 'ramp up'.

As part of this growth strategy, an experienced Mine Surveyor is required at one of their regional sites. The position will work on an 8:6 FIFO roster and will form part of the dedicated site survey team, primarily delivering survey support to the open-pit production team. Your previous knowledge of open-pit mining, including drill & blast mark-ups, near-mine exploration and small scale construction works will be central to your success with this position. This hands-on position will cover a wide variety of tasks and will benefit from the mentoring & guidance being offered by the experienced Senior Surveyor.

To meet the demands of this challenging site, it is essential that you offer some previous survey experience within an open-pit environment. You will have sound theoretical understandings through the completion of Diploma/Degree in Mine Surveying and progression towards, or attainment of, your Grade 2 Certification will be a distinct advantage.

An above-market salary package is being offered and a very comfortable camp, including full comms and other creature comforts, will be available when you're not surveying.

At this time, only Australian residents are eligible to apply for this role.
