Our client is a newly listed ASX gold/copper resource company with an aggressive exploration program and an attractive exploration budget to be used across their expansive tenement package across Western Australia which is characterised by extremely high-grade gold & gold-copper deposits. This is a forward thinking company applying first class exploration technologies to unlock the next generation of gold and copper deposits and already having abundant success.

With multiple zones and a large target area, every geologist is allocated their own project to manage and in this great working environment you take on the responsibility from a very early stage.
The Exploration Manager position is perfect for a senior geologist looking to make the transition to the next level, you will commence with this team in a senior exploration role and will move up into the exploration manager role when it becomes available in 2013. You will be a highly skilled and motivated geologist looking to add to the discovery track record of this very successful company. This is a hands on position requiring you to get out into the field. Ideally you will take on this role residentially in the NT which will include a house, car, utilities and airfares once a year for you and your family.
Alternatively, the position is available on a 2/1 FIFO roster from anywhere in Australia with the potential to work from home between December March during wet season.
To be considered:
You must have a track record of discovery, excellent 3D geological skills and be competent in Micromine/MapInfo, ArcView, Leapfrog and Datashed. You will have a minimum of 5-8 years experience in a senior role and importantly, demonstrable skills in exploration geology and discovery.
You will possess an ability to interrogate and synthesize multiple datasets and construct realistic geological cross sections and plans incorporating a variety of data including an understanding of physical rock properties. You will have a good grasp of geophysics and in particular, be comfortable interpreting magnetic, gravity and electrical data. You will need to possess strong skills in structural geology and be able to design appropriate drill programs to test new targets.
You will be comfortable mentoring junior geologists and interacting as a team player in all aspects of the exploration program.
Previous underground/open pit experience will be considered favourably.
