Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your; expertise, input, guidance and leadership will ensure effective execution of the construction, equipment supply and later coal production for this site  to ultimately ensure that operational targets and requirements are successfully met.
  
The Responsibilities:
Ensuring optimisation for the new mining operation through the provision of technical expertise and engineering assistance relating to both construction and production Stages of the Project
Overseeing the purchase and installation of new equipment
Effectively plan and co-ordinate the roles of contractors/consultants as required.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes as required
Skills & Knowledge:
 
Your flexible approach to work, strong leadership style and desire to "get your hands dirty" where required, together with the following will ensure your suitability.
Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience in underground coal mining.
Undergraduate qualifications in safety, science or a related discipline
Proven track record in engineering at same or subordinate level
