Easternwell Energy is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Diesel Mechanic to join our award
winning team.  
  
Easternwell Group is Australia’s leading integrated Oilfield services company offering flexible, innovative and cost effective solutions to large oil and gas companies and the wider energy industry.   
  
Reporting to the rig manager, the position will be responsible for managing the day to day mechanical 
requirements of a land based rig. The ideal candidate will have a career history of maintenance work on heavy diesel machinery and be expected to perform the following key responsibilities.   
  
Key responsibilities are to: 
• Read engineering, schematic and mechanical diagrams, drawings. 
• Inspect and repair rig equipment as per the National Heavy Accreditation system.  
• Servicing, maintaining and performing repairs to rig equipment in accordance with company 
requirements.  
• Ensure materials, parts and equipment for maintenance is ordered to meet required deadlines.  
• Complete and submit daily tradesperson reports, timesheets, repair requests, and non-conformance 
reports.  
• Update preventative maintenance system each day. 
  
Suitable applicants will have: 

• Trade qualified heavy diesel mechanic  
• Ability to work outdoors, in remote areas and field rotations 
• Good physical condition, strength and emotional stamina   
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and work cohesively with other company 
departments  
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, to work within guidelines and procedures, identify 
problems, and seek advice to resolve issues relating to tasks.  
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills. 
Experience in supporting well servicing and drilling rig operations will be rated highly, but is not essential.   
This is a field based opportunity offering a fly in and fly out even roster.
