Design & Build are actively recruiter for a Drill & Blast Engineer for one of Australia’s leading Mining operators throughout New South Wales & Queensland.  This quality company has excellent staff retention and develops their skills through training and internal promotion.  To attract the best talent they offer employees excellent packages, good work rosters & benefits. 
 
Key responsibilities of the Drill & Blast Engineer will include:
  • Managing mine design, to include designing drill patterns to take into account pit design, wall stability and ground conditions
  • Scheduling of drill and blast activities in line with short and long term plans
  • Undertaking continuous improvement of drill and blast systems
  • Establishing strong rapport with colleagues across Technical Services as well as other teams within the mine operation
To succeed in the of Drill & Blast Engineer role you will need:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in mining and previous experience in drill and blast is essential
  • A proven track record in the delivery of projects on schedule
  • Sound knowledge of the software such as Vulcan, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Access
