Our client is one of Australia's leading contracting businesses who have been in business for over 30 years.  During that time they have earned a reputation for their efficiency in setting up mining operations that are often considered logistically difficult. 


Our clients expertise covers project management, contract mining, bulk earthworks, mine planning, detailed design, and metaliferous and non-metaliferous mining.


Due to an ongoing workload and expansion they are looking to secure the services of an experienced mining engineer.


As the Mining Engineer you will role will include:

  • Developing and communicating short and medium term mine plans for underground operations
  • Providing input to operations and planning
  • Determine pit limits and minable reserves based on initial pit modelling
  • Promoting safety and maximising the value of operations
  • Participating in a variety of projects for improvement of the mine.
To be considered for the role of Mining Engineer you will require:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering (or similar technical discipline); 
  • Have at least 2 years experience in the mining industry; 
  • Previous truck & shovel, and/or drill & blast optimisation experience;
  • Knowledge of XPAC, Vulcan and TALPAC software is an advantage;
  • Design & Build specialises in recruitment for the Mining, Construction & Engineering industries on a regional and national basis.
