Site Quantity Surveyor

This large project covers all aspects of mining development.  A large West Australian project which is about to move into the next phase now requires a site based QS.  This large project is valued in the billions and is about to commence the next stage of the project offering up 12 months of employment on a contract basis. This will encompass projects and work packages across all engineering fields of construction.  Experience within underground mining will be viewed favorably as will a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent.
 
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
 
Perform risk and value management and cost control 
Advising on procurement strategy 
Ensure all estimates are prepared and reviewed in accordance with tender procedures and to client's requirements 
Identify, analyse and development responses to commercial risks 
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders 
Provide advice on contractual claims
  
You will require very strong analytical and risk management skills, good people management skills, and a high standard of written and oral communication skills. 
 
You will have the following experience to be successful in this role:
 
At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role on a Mining Project 
Minimum of 3 years experience post qualifications  
Strong 1st hand knowledge of Quantity surveying duties 
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
