Our client is a multidiscipline projects firm with global capability in strategic consulting employing 7,000 people from more than 40 offices globally. Locally our client plays a leading role in South Australia’s project markets across building, infrastructure, mining, power and energy. With expanding operations in the Mining and Resources division, our client is requires a Lead Mechanical Engineer – Rotating & Packaged Equipment. With a range of clients to service across a number of industry sectors you will be responsible for leading a team of specialist mechanical engineers primarily servicing its client for construction and commissioning projects including developing the key requirements of asset integrity management systems and to ensure all technical decisions meet best practice guidelines. You will have 6-8 years relevant professional experience in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years minimum experience in a senior leadership position. 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and be a chartered engineer
• Experience in specifying, evaluating and documenting rotating equipment packages, with experience in operation and maintenance of LNG plant involving rotating equipment
• Must have oil & gas experience , however Mining and Water experience will also be highly regarded
• Hands on experience with large gas turbine / gas engine driven compressors, pumps and generators would be advantageous
• A working knowledge of the API rotating equipment standards
• Exceptional communication skills
• Leadership experience coordinating with design & engineering teams for a range of tasks including feasibility studies, conceptual design, detail design and commissioning depending on project
• Proven experience working on successful projects on time and to budget.
