- Work Practices Manager – Internal Safety Procedures
Keeping your internal methods and practices up to date with new technology, changes to regulation and OH&S improvements is a nonstop requirement. Adding in a safety critical environment regulated by government and strict OH&S practices, means this is a challenging yet satisfying role.
As the manager of work practices and safety systems you will be responsible for ensuring continued improvement in operational procedures. Balancing the regulatory requirements, the desire to make procedures as straightforward as possible and the day to day to safety of the employees will be your main task.
You will get out into the business and gain an understanding of the day to day requirements, driving safety change whilst utilising years of experience and knowledge. You will have the confidence to ask why things are done a certain way and look for improvements.
Liaising closely with stakeholders from all levels, you have to communication skills to get to the heart of a problem and develop a solution. Supported by a team of specialists including technical writers, OH&S Co-ordinators and operational specialists, as the team manager it will be your responsibility to drive process improvement and change.

You will have experience from a highly regulated safety critical industry, which may include; Petrochem, Rail, Mining, Aviation, defence, marine, electricity distribution & generation, medical, Chemical, Testing, manufacturing.
You will also have had experience developing and writing standardise work practices and previous roles you may have held include; Process & Safety Improvement, Safety & Risk Engineer, Process & Training Co-Ordinator, Safety Systems Methods Officer, Safety Systems Consultant, Operational Procedures, Operational Support, Manufacturing Process Engineer.
If this role is not suitable we may have other roles including HV Technicians, Project Managers, Aerospace Engineers, Technical Officers, Design & Documentation, Electrical Trades.
