Mine Geologist required for a new and exciting gold mine in North Queensland. The candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day mine geology functions including assisting with managing grade control.

Undertake the collection, preservation and dispatch of ROM, Core and RC samples on a daily basis 
Daily development checks and geological mapping requirements. 
Reporting, data collection and system improvement activities; 
Ensure that all drilling sites are adequately planned for 
Ensure that Mining Area long-sections and Plans are updated with relevant as built and grade data. 
Assist with the interpretation, and validation of grade control data as required. 
Assist with the interpretation and generation of all mine structural models.

The Geologist must be self-motivated and a self-starter. The incumbent must also have the ability to communicate effectively with persons in all levels of the organisation. Leadership and mentoring is considered to be of the highest importance with effectively filling this role. All work must be completed to a high standard and incorporate sound geological practice. Being a lateral thinker and is always looking for a better way to do things is crucial to the position. 


Candidates must have experience in grade/block modelling techniques and at least 1 years experience in a similar role.
