The Company:
Our client is an industry leader in the Australian Resources Industry. As the country's largest provider to the Iron Ore sector they provide full "Design and Construct" services and then "Operate and Maintain" the minesite. They also work for a range of blue chip clients acitve in gold, nickel, bauxite, copper, zinc and coal.
The Opportunity:
Due to the highly successful expansion of their Design and Construct capability, and the outstanding on-going relationship with one of the Iron Ore industry's Major names, there now exists a truly exciting STUDY MANAGER role. The sky is the limit and the opportunities are boundless, as our client is happy for you to continue managing studies for greenfield mining projects, or if you like, you can become the Project Director / Project Manager on a major project once a study is complete.
In this key strategic role you will:
· Develop an optimal overall Project Solution that demonstrates capability to deliver certainty of project delivery.
· Communicate project issues appropriately, allocate resources to meet targets, develop robust technical solutions and execution strategies.
· Further strengthen and develop relationships with clients as you
· Manage relationships with the Client Team, Finance Teams, Engineering and Oeprating Team.
· Act as Project Director or Project Manager on Projects if you so desire.
To be considered suitable for this fantastic opportunity you will have previous experience in conducting a pre-feasibility or feasibility study. You will have extensive experience in a strategic or planning role at the senior management or operational level, with experience in managing multi disciplinary teams. Previous Iron Ore industry experience is considered desirable, and you will need to have demonstrated ability to build client relationships. You will have a fire in the belly, be a great communicator and know how to get the best out of people.
