You are a suitability qualified Ventilation Officer with experience in underground mining preferably with coal. You enjoy working with a dynamic and focused team of professionals who look for continuous performance improvement. Our client is a world leader in resource exploration, mining and processing and is a formidable force in the domestic coal producing market. As the Ventilation Officer, you must be able to demonstrate underground experience and communication skills that are commensurate with the expectations of the role.
You will work as part of a Technical Services Team and your responsibilities will include ensuring adequate ventilation of the mine, ensuring that the ventilation control devices are properly constructed, review and maintain the Hazard Management Plan and manage projects that are associated with ventilation and gas drainage. You will work closely with the production staff as well as liaising with other departments such as safety and maintenance. Preferably, you will have high level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of mine planning software.
