Expressions of interest are invited for the above position based at our new Westport service centre as a Field Service/Workshop based Technician.
Komatsu NZ distributes and services a wide range of hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, graders, crushers, wheel loaders and dump trucks to major mining, quarry and construction customers through out New Zealand. Continued developments in the after sales support systems have resulted in the establishment of a new service and parts facility based in Westport. This is a green fields operation including the full refurbishment of a specialised service workshop and parts warehousing facility. This operation will be committed to providing exceptional service support to the many Komatsu customers operating in this area.
If you have experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of construction, mining and forestry equipment with a high standard of pride in your workmanship, then this could be the position for you. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of servicing Komatsu and non-Komatsu product. Apprentices nearing the end of their training will also be considered.
The successful candidate will have:
· Sound skills in the repair, servicing and operations of earthmoving and construction equipment and be a qualified Diesel Mechanic
· High standard of written and oral communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to organise, co-ordinate and manage work flow and appropriate documentation
· Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks without supervision
· A current driver’s licence with HT preferable
