TENEMENT PACKAGE FOR SALE:
Spargoville West
Advanced Exploration Project (341 Ha.)
Plus 7 Additional Tenements (695 Ha.)
The Spargoville West Project covers an area of 341.73 hectares approximately 25km northwest of Widgemooltha and 60km south of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, in a setting similar to the nearby high-grade Wattle Dam gold mine of Ramelius Resources Ltd.*
This drill ready exploration project covers a group of historic gold workings named the Lady Allison which have only had small prospector scale hard rock production. Surface gold has been won from several areas on the tenements, incl. the recovery of approx. 400 oz in nuggets from 1 Ha.
Work carried out to date on the tenements has included:
• Open file data review and validation of historic work
• Reconnaissance soil sample geochemistry 100m x 200m (141 samples)
• Calcrete auger geochemistry 160m x 40m (487 holes)
• Rock chip sampling (30 samples)
• RAB drilling (12 holes for 421m)
• RC drilling (40 holes for 3971m)
• Petrology (12 thin sections)
• Flora Clearance Survey
• Geological mapping and interpretation
• Leapfrog software analysis of the previous drilling.
The RC drilling was drilled on both east-west traverses and north-south traverses in an attempt to unravel the controls. Several significant gold intercepts were identified. The 2004 RC drilling showed the Lady Allison deposit has a significant depth extension with locally attractive gold grades. The better intercepts included:
• 12.0m @ 3.00g/t Au from 78m,
• 5m @ 27.56g/t Au from 104m, and
• 7m @ 3.29g/t Au from 148m.
A recent technical review concluded that the majority of RC drilling had not utilised an appropriate drill azimuth to test the mineralised structures. It was recommended that a short RC and diamond drilling program be carried out utilising a new azimuth with one possible outcome being the potential discovery of higher grade shoots plunging SSE.
